Repentance

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Repentance is a change of thought and action to correct a wrong and gain forgiveness from a person who is wronged. In religious contexts it usually refers to confession to God, ceasing sin against God, and resolving to live according to religious law. It typically includes an admission of guilt, a promise or resolve not to repeat the offense; an attempt to make restitution for the wrong, or in some way to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong where possible.
.. A description of repentance in the New Testament can be found in the parable of the prodigal son found in the Gospel of Luke (15 beginning at verse 11).

Also...

2 Corinthians 7:10   "For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation , what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter."

This scripture offers hope for us all. It allows us to be aware of  the fact that although we make an error we can get it right while there is still time! We can go to the Lord of Hosts, humbly and sincerely, and offer up our prayer of repentance and in return receive the greatest gift of all- forgiveness! The ultimate sacrifice of Jesus dying on the tree (cross) was God Himself-reincarnated as Man, the Word becoming flesh... (St. John 1:1-14)! Jesus taken all sin upon Himself, so we in turn can live an abundant life, saved and covered by the blood of Jesus! Hallelujah-that's joy for me! Repentance is absolutely essential for our salvation from God! To be aware of the fact that we do need a Savior to look after us through the power & guidance of His Holy Spirit...to teach us and use us as a tool, an ambassador to spread the gospel of Christ Jesus! So yes this is our first step...acknowledging God for who He is in His complete Deity, believing that He was, He is & He whom is to come...and that He did indeed rise on the third day after His crucifixion! Going to the Lord in prayer & repenting from our pass conduct and making a conscious decision & effort to get aligned with The King of Kings is our first step to living an obedient life to Christ, the Author & Finisher of our faith!

Truly blessed.. Count your blessings!

This blog is not an effort to condemn the Nation of Haiti, however it is intended to do just the opposite! It is to acknowledge the tragedy that has taken place and to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings in our own individual lives. Imagine being in their shoes or having family or friends that have a strong connection to the many losses that have taken place! Sometimes it seems like certain things in life don't really effect us until it hit's home or even close to home! Many of us are blessed, I know that I am... especially when I look around and see the devastation in the world, I realize that it could have easily been me; maybe not with a physical earthquake, but in the form of personal earthquakes that shake up our own life and situation! Not every family, nation or country may have the same favor or luxuries that many of us do & it's important to look outside of the box from time to time and consider the many afflicted hearts around you! Maybe it's a loved one, maybe a close friend, maybe a co-worker! It's easier to ignore other people's struggle & focus on our own 'problems'...but God has called us to brotherly love and compassion! His ministry consisted of reaching out to the widow's, the prostitutes, the tax collector's... the so-called BAD people! My point is that maybe you are the light or the love that another person needs in their life, don't be afraid to let your light shine! It's a hurting and dying world and we can play our part to take the time to have compassion on another individual! To have a basic compassion for other people and their situation is mandatory, especially in today's society!
I cannot help but to swell up with emotion from the disturbing images that are before me as I gaze attentively upon Anderson Cooper's live coverage on the nation of Haiti! There is a lot that can be done by us, the American people! It is a humane responsibility of us all to consider their afflictions and attempt to do our small part! Maybe it's money, maybe it's creating awareness of the severity of their current state, or simply just supporting by prayer! I believe that God is in control of all things in heaven and on earth, but prayer changes things and God is a merciful God! These people are obviously dealing with more than just the effects of a "common" earthquake!
A lot of times in life we take for granted the liberties that we do have by being Americans! There are other countries who do not share the same type of democracy, civilization or even opportunities that we have here in the USA! I am a child of God and I do realize the many blessings that have been placed on my life and I know they are not to retain them all for myself! Let's love a little harder and forgive a lot quicker, we don't have time to waste! Until next time I bid you God's speed! ***Tiffany

A Special Poem Titled : How Serene!

How serene... the thought of embracing life's precious treasures, receiving gifts from up high-sent down below-to heal our heart's and free our souls, to touch our minds and lighten the load! How serene... a glimpse into your loved ones eye's, only to see true love reside, what a fortune-without calamity; To receive your hearts desire which carry no deceit, to hopelessly fall in love with the man/woman of your dreams...How serene to share, to care, to laugh freely, to capture the essence of belief... to watch your dreams unfold right before your sight! How serene I ask-how serene?!
The journey was a ride, and yet it still remains- but this path I do not regret I learned powerful lessons along the way.  Have you ever heard of unconditional love, well I'm learning it today-and the more & more that I learn I realize my love cannot be swayed... not away from you or your light which is hidden deep inside-because I'll continually, faithfully pray for our radiance to glow together as bright as the first sunrise! Are you my soul's mate or is that just mere fantasy?! Well in my book a fantasy is pure romance and together we've created a tangible reality!
***HOW SERENE***

Love, Unity & Sacrifice

I just want to touch on a general topic this evening concerning relationships and the challenges of sacrificing.
I know for me, I always try to remember the feelings of others, reflecting as if the shoe was on the other foot. I don't see myself as a double standard person, nor is that the mind frame that I desire to possess. Sometimes it is difficult for one to sacrifice they're way of doing things for the suitability of another person, and this is understandable. However, when there is a bigger picture involved or a person that means a lot more than the sacrifice itself, it may be beneficial.
It is very important to be able to have the mindset to respect your spouse's opinions and feelings; but in order to have the capacity to do so, you must love yourself first. To love is to begin with loving one's self and allowing the love of God to shine through; therefore it wouldn't be difficult to 'exemplify' the act of loving. In doing so, you will demonstrate the type of love that you desire and in turn, you will also receive.
In my life there are certain things that I have sacrificed or compromised with for the sake and prosperity of my marriage and our family! Likewise, my husband has done the same. We may not agree 100% with the idea of the suggestion or situation that requires a bit of compromising...but once you hear the principle behind the matter you begin to understand the point of view that is being presented. It will not be comfortable, but for the most part it's very necessary for the mutual respect that is being giving and also received!  Marriage is basically a give and take relationship. I speak on this from the heart, obviously I am not a marriage counselor or a psych...but my life's experiences equip me to share my voice with others, with the hopes that I can offer some sound advice to any other individual or group of people that may be familiar with these topics.
Scripture speaks of  submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. The husband as being the head of the household and loving his wife as he loves himself, (Ephesians 5:20-33). Proverbs 31:10-31 educates women on how to be a virtuous woman, (I wrote on the qualities of a virtuous woman in a previous blog)... Scripture also speaks of the husband treating the wife as he would treat himself, and the wife giving reverence to her own husband! I am my husband's Queen as he is my King as well. We each have our individual role or place in our marriage. Some may not agree with me, but in life everyone has they're own personification to uphold, so for me having that individual to share the same qualities, goals, morals with, is absolutely essential to me. Not having that initial connection will have the entire relationship very abstract to begin with. My husband is not a demanding person so when he makes a request -  I know it's not coming from a place of domination or manipulation, so it's not arduous to revere his reasoning; I respect it and acknowledge his feelings.  Of course I may not feel the same way that he feels concerning his standpoint, but through discussion and close consideration we come to a compromise and a mutual agreement. This keeps our marriage strong through communication and bonds us closer together. By neither one of us being selfish or stubborn in the efforts of only trying to prove a point, we become more and more as one, standing sturdy in UNITY! Marriage is one of the most sacred and powerful unions that man can obtain from the Lord. Carry your marriage with humility, agape' love, forgiveness, peace, trust & loyalty. Most importantly keep God first as the glue that holds and bonds your marriage together for life! Until next time fellow blogger's and reader's...be blessed ***Tiffany

Good things come to those who wait...

Patience IS a virtue & nothing good comes easy!
We live in a society that is geared towards instant gratification in the form of many different things and areas of life. For some of us it's awaiting the big promotion for that big corner office... how about anticipating the arrival of  Mr./Mrs. 'right'?! Maybe it's more profound, like expecting an answer from God regarding a long hoped for prayer to come into flourition! Plain & simple it's not an easy prcoess at all, not knowing exactly the time nor the day that your need/want will be met! This is exactly why God tells us to walk by faith and not by sight, (2 Corinthians 5:7), and to cast all of your cares upon Him, for He cares for you! (1Peter 5:7)

Not allowing ourselves to endure the "process" only leaves us with the short end of the stick, for not allowing one's self to reap the full benefits of what was due! God has a plan for His flock as written in Jeremiah 29:11..."For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end..."

As written above - along with the rose..."Impatience is a deadly poison to most blossoming things. Impatience is your brain saying, I can't be happy till... Patience is enjoying (embracing) the process as much as the results." Yes it is definitely easier said than done, believe me I know, but once I take my mind off of the problem and focus on the Problem Solver, then all my worries fade away! It is a virtue because not many people can lay hold of patience... it is a moral character & standard as well! Anything worth fighting for, anything worth waiting for will not be an easy ride, but the end result of that matter will be a huge blessing!

I just wanted to encourage some of you this evening with words of wisdom and insight. I pray & hope that these words will resinate in your spirit and in your mind, but most importantly through your faith and reveal itself in your actions. I have allowed the process of patience to benefit me, & I know that it will benefit you as well!
Until next time...Be Blessed ***Tiffany Mullings

The end times...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8qG1iZ9BKw

As I mentioned in a previous blog, "time is coming & going even quicker as the years progress!" Last night @ Bible study we spoke of, THE END TIMES! Read this scripture from 1 Thessalonians 5...(New King James Version)

5 But concerning the times and the seasons, bretheren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say,"Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape...

vs. 8 ...But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

These particular verses of the Bible are very powerful & if you pay close attention, prophetic as well. We will not know the time nor day of the coming of the Lord, but as you can read in the entire book of Revelation, it is revealed to us - the events that will take place... as a sign of the end of times! The scriptures that I quoted above tells us that we must have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, as we receive with love His sacrifice of salvation. He allowed Himself to be beaten the entire way to Calvary to die on a tree, for the remission of your sins and mine. This was His sole purpose of the miraculous conception that took place some 2,000 years ago!

Please follow me... We realize that new technology includes the implanting of the RFID CHIP into humans. It is becoming widely known amongst many of us as a device that has the ability to retrieve medical info in the case of an emergency, also used as a form of 'security', and soon to be known as a convenient way to purchase as well."

Open your Bible to read Revelation 13 6-18...

Need I say more? We must realize the signs of the times and pay close attention to what is going on in the world around us. Do not be ignorant of Satans devices or schemes. It is extremely vital to accept the gift of salvation from our Lord and Saviour and to be guarded for your soul's sake.

My Thoughts of A Virtuous Woman..

As I promised I would give my thoughts of my perception of a virtous woman, so here I go!
According to scripture a virtuous woman is a woman who knows & loves the Lord number one. She also is woman of strong moral character, who does not compromise her beliefs for anything contrary to the word of God. She receives much respect & trust from her husband & children because that is also what she demonstrates. Her husband knows - without a reasonable doubt that she is a faithful woman, he has FULL confidence in her. She is not a lazy woman, she brings her portion to the family as well. She understands the importance of investing & networking for the future & stability of her family. She is a loving woman who cares about the feelings of others. Her husband and herself have a well reputation by others and they are highly respected.

Her expectation is from the Lord, because she know's that He alone is God...Jehovah-Jireh!
She is a wise woman; with her time as well with her finances. She can be referred to as a good steward of the blessings that God has bestowed upon her. Her own house is in order and they live a fine life. The virtuous woman is clothed with strength, vigor, and honor! This woman deserves praise because she serves the Lord wholeheartedly, who is the Author & finisher of her faith. Her beauty comes from within and shines through as a light, that sits upon a mountain top!

I would love to hear your thoughts on what you think the qualities of a "Virtuous Woman " are?
Tomorrow I will respond with what I feel being a Virtuous Woman entails... ***Tiffany

Staying Motivated

Losing any type of motivation for me right now, is 100% not an option! I have to stay focused and driven in order to see my vision come to life! Looking forward to your future is so important and persevering inspite of difficulties is mandatory. Who really has time to waste? I was reading another blog today,( I read so many-I can't remember exactly from who right now)...however she mentioned how somehow the time managed to get away from her. That is so true how time flies... All of us who have a specific goal in mind, especially with a certain "ideal" time frame, we have to dedicate & allot a certain amount of time in each day to the project @ hand. As time continues to run ;)... we will be producing results right along with it. As they say time waits for no man-nor shall it. We have to get in where we fit in & make it happen! Before you know it, we'll be looking back, like WOW-another year gone! My brother told me yesterday,"keep up the same energy & maintain it, because God gives us ideas for a reason."
Definitely don't want to miss out on your season or your time to shine. THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!
Until next time...BE BLESSED ***Tiffany

A New Decade...

Well, thank God that a lot of us made it into 2010 in our right state of mind. This year I don't have no time or patience for any B.S., procrastinator's or flat out drama. My tolerance will not allow me to tolerate any thing contrary to what I'm moving forward to! Shake off all the dust from '09- all the hata's & all the unnecessary people that tried to hold you back or even bring you down. Let go & let God work it out, life has enough stress of it's own. Ladies...STAND UP... right ?! Take your rightful place in the race & get what belongs to you! Thank God for every day & keep it moving! Love more, laugh harder, but handle ya business! Remember life is not  joke; but it's definitely like playing a game because you have to be on point, stay guarded and always be ahead of the next player! Stay focused and if you don't know the LORD, try Jesus! I can say Amen to that ;)! One of the most important rules is: STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF-NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR BELIEFS OR SETTLE FOR LESS WHEN YOU KNOW GOD HAS MORE IN STORE FOR YOU! Hold close - what matter's most in your life...
Until next time Ladies & Gents... God Bless
