Against all odds...

In this post I used a lot of scripture as the main focus!

Glory be to God who is Lord of my life! He is 100% definitely the answer to my problems, the courage to my fears, the boldness to my insecurities! He has never failed me and I trust that He never will! I glorify Him because He is far more than worthy! I magnify His holy name, I exhort Him and bring an offering of praise & worship from my lips! There is none like Him, He is the Alpha & the Omega-my beginning & end... Who has said that the Lord will not perform-has He not shown Himself with miraculous wonders and healings?! There is security in wisdom, therefore get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding! Take firm hold of instruction and do not let go! Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life. Let your eyes look straight ahead and your eyelids look right before you! Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. (Some of these verses are taken from the book of Proverbs Chptr.4)
I write this today because sometimes we just need to re-affirm ourselves; and these things are reminders for me to stay focused and trust the Lord no matter the time or the situation! Being saved is not an easy ride, and Jesus never said it would be easy. In fact scripture tells us "... and if children (of God), then heirs-heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." (Romans 8:17)  So I looked up suffering in the context that it was used here in Romans. I used my Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible. This concordance also contains the Greek & Hebrew dictionary! So in my findings; the Greek word for suffering here simply means to experience pain jointly as Christ did! However, we obviously aren't being persecuted in the form of a crucifixion, but life's courses and certain instances in our life may be an abstract comparison of enduring trials & tribulation as Christ did during His earthly ministry! So in taking note of this and following Christ's example, I must persevere and count it all all joy when my flesh is struggling. In these moments my spiritual man is growing as I feed it & submit to the Word of God and follow His lead!
